Why a straight answer on price actually matters

A combi boiler failing in winter isn’t a minor inconvenience — it’s no heating and no hot water until someone fixes it, and that pressure is exactly what lets some installers pad a quote with extras that only show up once work’s started.

London makes this worse. Older pipework, tighter access in flats, and some of the hardest water in the country all push labour costs above the national average. A fixed price that already accounts for London conditions — rather than one that creeps up mid-job — is the difference between a calm one-day fix and a stressful week of follow-up calls.

What’s included in every installation

Every combi boiler installation we carry out includes the same core package, whatever brand or size you choose: full removal of your old boiler, supply and fit of the new unit, a free digital thermostat, chemical inhibitor, a scale reducer (genuinely useful given how hard London’s water supply is), copper pipework and fittings, and your Gas Safe certificate handed over the same day.

Several of our packages — including the Vaillant ecoTEC Sustain, Main Combi range, Vaillant ecoTEC Pro and Ideal Esprit — also come with a free system flush, a free wireless heating thermostat, and a 12-month labour warranty from EuroAppliances on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. Anything outside the standard job, like relocating the boiler or upgrading a flue, gets priced and agreed with you before work starts, not added on afterward.

Combi boiler vs system boiler

A combi boiler heats water directly from the mains on demand, so there’s no separate cylinder or tank eating into an airing cupboard — which matters in London flats where space is tight. A system boiler still needs a hot water cylinder and tends to suit larger homes running hot water in two bathrooms at once.

For most London properties — flats, terraces, and homes with one or two bathrooms — combi is the simpler, space-saving choice, and it’s what the majority of our installs across the city actually are.
